For what I will assume is true of the majority of the readers of this blog, Snapchat is something that consumes too much of your day. For me, I use Snapchat to send quick, usually humorous or snarky messages to my friends and break up an otherwise monotonous day at the office. But a few months back, I decided to try something new. I started using the Snap Story feature to document the cooking process of the food I was cooking that night. I did it as a way to track my cooking process and then later review what I made, how I made it, and document anything special I did during the experiment-du-jour. So I sent those pictures off to my Snap Story and let it be. Later the next day, however, something interesting and unexpected happened. Many people were actually watching these mini cooking snap stories and they loved it.
The number of compliments I received regarding these stories over the next few days at work, on response snaps, and texts made me realize, hey, I may be on to something here. So the next time I cooked I tried to document it again. The admittedly somewhat messy first story was refined a bit - I tried to incorporate better lighting, have more fun captions, and make things a little more aesthetically pleasing. After my second and third mini Snap Stories were well received, and even having my name passed to some friends-of-friends so they could watch these 90-second mini Snap Cooking Shows, I decided I would save the most recent Snap Story. The result is the gallery below. For as realistic a SnapChat-esque feel as possible, switch pictures every 4 seconds or so. Enjoy!

S&A Snap Cooking - Beef Stir-Fry (Home Made Chinese Take-Out)
I don't really follow recipes when I cook for myself unfortunately and I am constantly adjusting and tweaking seasoning as I cook. Next time, I may track the amounts of certain ingredients I use so I can post the follow-up recipe on here.
